What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We are not the low cost provider of services. Insulation Station is a provider of premium services at a cost effective price. We do offer discounts for veterans and their families. Our pricing is flexible. Tell us what you need and we will work with your budget. It’s that easy.
We like to meet our customers. It’s important that you get to know who is installing your new insulation. You’ll find us courteous and friendly but professional. The process is simple: we provide a free inspection with photos and measurements of your space; you’ll receive a professionally designed estimate at an affordable price; you pick the date of service. With our fleet of trucks, you can have your service performed the same week as the inspection or anytime of your choosing in the future.
We will educate you about the differences between cellulose, fiberglass, mineral wool (aka Rockwool), and sheep’s wool – yes, sheep’s wool. It’s a premium product and we will educate you about it’s advantageous insulation characteristics. With our services menu, we will describe the benefits of each type of service and recommend the ones that may optimize the thermal performance of your home.
Chuck retired from a 25 year career in financial technology services and Dan retired from a 15 year career in mechanical services. Dan inspired the business plan by having the foresight that as our economy and climate evolves, homeowners are going to want to upgrade the insulation in their homes. Owens Corning predicts on their website that up to 90% of all homes are underinsulated. We see this everyday. You’re not alone. We can help you plan a more comfortable home – all year long.
We provide services for residential homeowners that want to upgrade their existing homes, new additions to their homes, detached building on their property, and new construction.
We are proud of all of our projects. A few that stands out are a an unfinished basement retrofit, a crawlspace encapsulation, and a full garage insulation upgrade. In the unfinished basement, we installed 3″ (R15) rigid foam board on 9′ foundation walls for a customer that is building a dance studio and wanted a allergen free material. We completed the job in 2 days and $1,000 under their budget. Our crawlspace encapsulations are beautiful. We install a white vapor barrier on the ground and a white vapor barrier over continuous insulation blankets on the foundation walls. The finished product looks like a clean environment that you aren’t afraid to enter. We do include mineral wool batts installed into the floor joists and rigid board foam seal with a batt square to complete the full encapsulation. This is a 1 day job. Garage upgrades are becoming more popular as homeowners plan to spend more time in their garages. We can blow loose fill insulation into your garage’s attic or even inserted into your finished ceiling if your garage has no attic space. We can also cut holes in the walls and blow insulation in there too. Most garages have no insulation in their exterior walls. We can fix this for you. The last step is to add fitted insulation batts or fitted radiant barrier panels to your garage door. This is a 1 day job.
Check out the contractor’s reviews. They can give you an idea of what customers think of the company, it’s installers, and the quality of their work. Don’t immediately pick the lowest cost provider. The adage, “You get what you pay for” can sometimes be painfully true. If the desired service is a little above your ideal budget, ask us to be flexible. You’ll find that we can be accommodating more than you might imagine. We also have several options for 0% financing. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you want it.
What is the goal of my project? How much am I willing to spend on this project? Sharing your budget is not a bad move. If the contractor is honest, they will work within your budget and help you feel comfortable about your decision.
